THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE:- (1) THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL HOUSING ACCOMMODATION FOR BENEFICIARIES IN THE FORM OF ALMSHOUSE ACCOMMODATION (2) THE PROVISION OF EXTRA CARE ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES FOR BENEFICIARIES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE WITH A PREFERENCE FOR RESIDENTS IN THE HOME. (3) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE HOMES, FORMER RESIDENTS IN THE HOMES AND OTHER PERSONS SUCH AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE AND (4) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS (5) IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE TO ASSIST SOMEONE (WHO IS OTHERWISE QUALIFIED) WHO IS:- (A) RESIDENT OUTSIDE THE AREA OF BENEFIT (B) ONLY TEMPORARILY RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND THE FOLLOWING DEFINITIONS SHALL APPLY: "AREA OF BENEFIT" MEANS THE CITY OF COVENTRY "BENEFICIARIES" MEANS POOR PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AT THE TIME OF THEIR APPOINTMENT OR RESIDENTS APPOINTED UNDER SUB CLAUSE (5) ABOVE "HOMES" MEANS THE ALMSHOUSES OF THE CHARITY AND ANY OTHER RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED BY THE CHARITY TRUSTEES
