THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROVIDE HOUSING, ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER SUCH BENEFITS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES DECIDE FOR THE RELIEF OF POOR PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO ARE IN COMMUNION WITH THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND AND WHO, BY REASON OF AGE, ILL-HEALTH, ACCIDENT OR INFIRMITY ARE WHOLLY OR IN PART UNABLE TO FINANCIALLY MAINTAIN THEMSELVES, AND SHALL BE OF THE FOLLOWING CLASSES IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER OF PRIORITY:(A) PERSONS WHO ARE AND HAVE FOR NOT LESS THAN THREE YEARS NEXT PRECEDING THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT BEEN RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF LITTLE GRANSDEN;(B) PERSONS WHO AT THE DATE OF APPOINTMENT ARE RESIDENT IN THE SAID PARISH;(C) PERSONS BORN BUT NOT RESIDENT IN THE SAID PARISH;(D) PERSONS RESIDENT WITHIN A RADIUS OF TEN MILES FROM THE PARISH CHURCH OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF ST. PETER AND ST. PAUL, LITTLE GRANSDEN;PROVIDED THAT THREE OF THE CIO?S ALMSHOUSES SHALL BE APPROPRIATED AND USED AS FOLLOWS:(I). ONE ALMSHOUSE FOR THE ACCOMMODATION OF A MARRIED COUPLE;(II). ONE ALMSHOUSE FOR THE ACCOMMODATION OF A SINGLE MAN;(III). ONE ALMSHOUSE FOR THE ACCOMMODATION OF A SINGLE WOMAN;AND UPON THE DEATH OR SETTING ASIDE OF THE APPOINTMENT OF ONE OF A MARRIED COUPLE OCCUPYING THE ALMSHOUSE FOR USE BY A MARRIED COUPLE, THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY PERMIT THE OTHER OF THEM TO REMAIN A RESIDENT AND TO OCCUPY AND CONTINUE IN OCCUPATION OF THAT ALMSHOUSE OR TO OCCUPY SUCH OTHER ROOM OR ROOMS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY ALLOT, OR THE CHARITY TRUSTEES MAY SET ASIDE HIS OR HER APPOINTMENT.
