3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (A) THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE LLANTRISANT GUILDHALL ('GUILDHALL') FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FREEMEN WHOSE NAMES ARE CONTAINED IN THE FREEMEN'S ROLL MAINTAINED BY THE LLANTRISANT TOWN TRUST;(B) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF LLANTRISANT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY PROVIDING ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION AT THE GUILDHALL AND THE PRESERVATION OF THE SAID GUILDHALL;(C) TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LLANTRISANT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF THE GUILDHALL FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS, PROVIDED THIS CLAUSE 3.1(B) DOES NOT CONFLICT WITH CLAUSE 3.1(A) ABOVE; AND(D) TO THE EXTENT ONLY THAT INCOME OF THE CIO IS NOT APPLIED IN FURTHERANCE OF OBJECTS (A) (B) AND (C) ABOVE TO USE THE SAME FOR AND TOWARDS THE PURPOSES OF THE LLANTRISANT TOWN TRUST.
