Charitable objects

The objects of the CIO are, for the public benefit, to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and organisations that predominately engage in charitable activity (in particular but without limitation Muslim led charities) based in the United Kingdom, and the effective use of their charitable resources, in particular but not exclusively by: - 1. promoting cooperation and coordination among such charities and organisations. 2 providing representation and advocacy on behalf of such charities and organisations; 3 providing and exchanging information, guidance, education, training, technical and professional support and assistance; 4 promoting and undertaking research into the efficiency of charities and organisations, disseminating the useful results. and 5. Providing services or making grants and donations to assist charities and organisations to develop their charitable activities, projects and services or other as the trustees may determine in their absolute discretion from time to time.Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
