To assist in the advancement of education of young people from a christian perspective; to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation for individuals and families who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life; to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved; and to promote good mental health and relieve mental ill-health through programmes of support primarily within the area of benefit, namely Tadcaster and the surrounding area, including (but not limited to) the parish of Rural Ainsty.
