THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC:(1) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS; THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS; THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT 1998; AND THE EQUALITY ACT 2010, AS THE SAME MAY FROM TIME BE AMENDED, RE-ENACTED OR REPLACED) IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY MEANS OF:(A) RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES, INCLUDING EXPLAINING DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAWS TO THE PUBLIC;(B) PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS; AND(2) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION ON THE SUBJECT OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY RESEARCHING HUMAN RIGHTS AND MAKING THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
