THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (1) TO PROVIDE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED IN SHEFFIELD AND NEIGHBOURING DISTRICTS BY REASON OF AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE BY THE PROVISION OF GOODS AND SERVICES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING: (A) ASSISTANCE AND AFTER CARE FOR PATIENTS FOLLOWING ADMISSION TO OR DISCHARGE FROM HOSPITAL OR OTHER CARE FACILITY; (B) PRACTICAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE IN NEED TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THOSE WHO ARE RESIDING IN THEIR OWN HOMES; (C) DELIVERY OF EMERGENCY GOODS AND MEDICAL RELATED EQUIPMENT TO ASSIST PEOPLE IN NEED IN THEIR HOMES; AND (D) ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO PREVENT ADMISSION OR READMISSION TO HOSPITAL OR OTHER AFTER CARE FACILITY.
