THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE OF ORTHODONTICS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (A) SUPPORTING OF RESEARCH INTO AREAS ASSOCIATED WITH ORTHODONTIC CLINICAL CARE (PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT); AND(B) ADVANCING THE ASSESSMENT AND TRAINING OF THOSE INVOLVED IN ORTHODONTICS.(2) TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER PURPOSES CURRENTLY RECOGNISED AS CHARITABLE (UNDER ENGLISH LAW) AND OF VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
