THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION IN AREAS WHERE PEOPLE MAY BE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED DUETO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, UNEMPLOYMENT, RACE, ETHNIC ORIGIN OR POOR EDUCATIONAL ORSKILLS ATTAINMENT, BY HELPING PEOPLE DEVELOP NEW PRACTICAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS ANDADVANCE IN LIFE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF CREATIVE ARTS WORKSHOPS, GALAPERFORMANCES AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR SCHOOLS; AND(2) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ADVANCINGEDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FORTHE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES ANDTRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERNIRELAND) 2008.
