The Object of the CIO is the advancement of the Roman Catholic religion through the religious and other charitable work carried on or supported by the Congregation as the Trustees shall from time to time think fit provided that if, at any time, the Congregation shall have ceased to exist, the Trustees shall advance the Roman Catholic religion in such exclusively charitable way or ways as the Trustees shall from time to time think fit, in sympathy with the Congregation?s Charism and the philosophy and ideology of the Congregation?s foundress Sister Catherine Mulligan SMR. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for purposes which are not charitable.
