THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:3.1 TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX,SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AGE, DISABILITY, NATIONALITY, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS,BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND SUCH STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHERORGANISATIONS AS APPROPRIATE IN A COMMON EFFORT TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF HEALTH ANDSOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THECONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS;IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER:- TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PLAY AREA AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR CO-OPERATEWITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A PLAY AREA PROMOTEDBY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.3.2 TO PROMOTE GOOD CITIZENSHIP AND GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND SOLUTION OF CRIME SO THATEFFECTIVE LIAISON BETWEEN THE POLICE AND THE PUBLIC CAN BE ACHIEVED IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THEEFFICIENCY OF THE POLICE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.’3.3 TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT HEALTH AND TO RELIEVE SICKNESS BY CONTRIBUTING TO A REDUCTION IN THELIKELIHOOD OF PREMATURE AND UNNECESSARY SUDDEN DEATH RESULTING FROM HEART ATTACK AND OTHER LIFETHREATENINGSITUATIONS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE TRAINEDIN CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) AND TO USE AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) ANDBY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A PUBLIC ACCESS DEFIBRILLATOR.”THE AREA OF BENEFIT SHALL BE BURTON IN WILTSHIRE AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THEPURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEEINVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008
