TO PROMOTE THE YOUTH VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN ESSEX THROUGH ADVOCACY AND REPRESENTATION AND PROMOTING GOOD PRACTICE WITHIN THE SECTOR."VOLUNTARY SECTOR" IS DEFINED AS "CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS".CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES.VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY ORGANISATIONS.WE WILL ACHIEVE THIS OBJECT THROUGHA) ADVOCACY AND REPRESENTATIONECVYS WILL ENGAGE AND ENABLE VOLUNTARY YOUTH ORGANISATIONS SO THAT THEY CAN BE AN ACTIVE, RELEVANT AND INDEPENDENT VOICE AT THE FOREFRONT OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL YOUTH ISSUES & POLICY MAKING.THIS VOICE WILL ALSO ALLOW US TO FACILITATE CONVERSATIONS & PARTNERSHIPS THAT WILL STRENGTHEN & GROW THE VOLUNTARY YOUTH SECTOR & THEREBY ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ESSEX.B) PROMOTING GOOD PRACTICE & A SENSE OF ÆTOGETHERNESSÆ WITHIN THE SECTORECVYS WILL HELP FACILITATE GOOD PRACTICE & PROVISION OF YOUTH WORK BY VOLUNTARY YOUTH ORGANISATIONS IN ESSEX. WE WILL DO THIS THROUGH NETWORKING, TRAINING & SHARING RESOURCES, UPDATES, FUNDING & ANY OTHER INFORMATION WE SEE AS BEING RELEVANT TO THE SECTOR & THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE.
