The objects of the CIO are, for the benefit of the public in the geographical area of the Cardiff Rugby Region the:(a) promotion of community participation in amateur sport;(b) promotion of healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for sports, recreation and/or leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants ; (c) advancement of education of children and young people and in particular in relation to sport and physical activities; and(d) relief of persons in need who fall within the definition of Potential Beneficiaries below by the provision of grants, resources, equipment, or other support for their personal needs and/or for the advancement of training and education of such Potential Beneficiaries. “Potential Beneficiaries” means individuals who have been players or staff at a rugby club within the geographic area of the Cardiff Rugby Region (including Cardiff Rugby) and are in need as a result of an injury playing rugby, other physical or mental illness or disability, old age or poverty.
