THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (‘THE OBJECTS’)ARE THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONGST INDIVIDUALS WITH DOWN’S SYNDROME AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS IN THE WEST CUMBRIA AREA WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF THE DISABILITY BY:-1. OFFERING SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS THROUGH TRAINING, ACCESS TO SERVICES AND PROFESSIONALS;2. LIAISING WITH PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANISATIONS TO PROMOTE INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY;3. PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE INCLUSION, EQUALITY AND WELL-BEING OF MEMBERS;4. PROMOTING SHARING OF KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCES, SUCCESSES AND STRATEGIES TO ENABLE FULFILMENT OF INDIVIDUALS POTENTIAL;5. DIRECTING MEMBERS TO SERVICES, SUPPORT AND PROFESSIONALS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY; AND6. PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE SPORTS, ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT.[NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.].
