THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS/CARERS LIVING SOUTH CAMDEN WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) PROVIDING CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND PARENTING SKILLS TRAINING TO PARENTS/CARERS B) PROVIDING SAFE GROUP PLAY AND OTHER ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO SUPPORT CHILDREN’S SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT;C) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP AN INDIVIDUAL’S CAPABILITIES, COMPETENCES, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING; D) PROVIDING ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS/CARERS;E) PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS/CARERS WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; F) MAKING GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS/CARERS AND PROMOTE GOOD PARENTING; ANDG) MAKING GRANTS TO LOCAL AUTHORITY ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS SCHOOLS, NURSERIES AND CHILDREN’S CENTRES.FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE:• CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. • VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION.
