(A) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT LIFE AND GOOD HEALTH BY SECURING IN CASES OF NEED WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (THAT IS TO SAY, THE COUNTIES OF LEICESTERSHIRE, DERBYSHIRE, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE AND RUTLAND) THE ATTENDANCE OF FIRST RESPONDERS TRAINED BY EAST MIDLANDS AMBULANCE SERVICE ("EMAS") OR ANY SUCCESSOR BODY PRIOR TO, OR AS SOON AS MAY BE PRACTICABLE AFTER, THE ARRIVAL OF AN AMBULANCE OR FIRST RESPONSE VEHICLE; (B) TO SUPPORT THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF LIFE AND GOOD HEALTH WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT BY (I) PROVIDING SUCH FIRST RESPONDERS OR GROUPS THEREOF WITH FUNDS, EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND/OR TRAINING AND/OR (II) SECURING THE ATTENDANCE OF SUCH TRAINED FIRST RESPONDERS AT PUBLIC EVENTS;(C) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION ("CPR") AND/OR FIRST AID BY THE PROVISION TO THOSE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WISHING IT OF TRAINING AND FAMILIARISATION IN CPR, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND/OR THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF FIRST AID;(D) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND/OR PRESERVE AND PROTECT LIFE AND GOOD HEALTH IN SUCH OTHER WAYS AS MAY TO THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEEM FIT"
