THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR AND MAIDENHEAD:-1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF ALL ASPECTS OF THE PERFORMING ARTS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:A) FOSTERING AND PROMOTING AN UNDERSTANDING, KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, WITH THE PROVISION OF PERFORMING ARTS WORKSHOPS, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND TEACHERS TO SCHOOLS, PLAYGROUPS AND CHILDREN’S HOSPICES AND PROVIDE FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS, SHOWS, EVENTS AND OTHER SUCH MEANS DETERMINED BY THE TRUSTEES. B) THE PROVISION OF FULLY FUNDED OR SUBSIDISED TICKETS TO SEE PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR THEATRE PERFORMANCES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, VULNERABILITY, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS. 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 18-22 IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE PERFORMING ARTS AND ALLIED SUBJECTS BY THE PROVISION OF BURSARIES TOWARDS THE COSTS OF TUITION FOR THOSE WHO WOULD NOT USUALLY HAVE ACCESS DUE TO LACK OF FINANCE.
