THE SOCIETY'S OBJECTS ARE RESTRICTED SPECIFICALLY, IN EACH CASE ONLY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:(A) TO CARRY ON THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING, WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM, ISLE OF MAN AND THE CHANNEL ISLANDS, HOUSING, OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TOWARDS THE HOUSING NEEDS OF, AND ANY ASSOCIATED AMENITIES UPON TERMS APPROPRIATE TO THEIR MEANS, FOR:(I) METHODIST PRESBYTERS AND DEACONS (FORMERLY REFERRED TO AS MINISTERS AND DEACONS) WHO ARE IN RECEIPT OF THEIR FULL METHODIST CHURCH PENSION ENTITLEMENT AND THEIR WIDOWS, WIDOWERS OR DEPENDANTS;(II) METHODIST PRESBYTERS AND DEACONS WHO HAVE RETIRED PRIOR TO REACHING FULL RETIREMENT AGE WITH THE CONSENT OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE METHODIST CHURCH ON HEALTH OR COMPASSIONATE GROUNDS AND THE WIDOWS, WIDOWERS OR DEPENDANTS THEREOF;(III) WIDOWS, WIDOWERS OR DEPENDANTS OF METHODIST PRESBYTERS AND DEACONS WHO HAVE DIED IN ACTIVE SERVICE;IN EACH CASE SUCH PRESBYTERS AND DEACONS, WIDOWS, WIDOWERS OR DEPENDANTS BEING OF LIMITED MEANS AND FOR THOSE IN RECEIPT OF SUCH PROVISION, THE FURTHER PROVISION OF, OR ASSISTANCE WITH THE COSTS OF, SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THEIR CONDITIONS OF NEED (WHETHER AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY OR FINANCIAL), ALSO UPON TERMS APPROPRIATE TO THEIR MEANS;(B) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
