TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION OF RED SQUIRREL POPULATIONS IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT IN CLOCAENOG FOREST AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BY:A) UNDERTAKING WORK TO PROTECT THE RED SQUIRREL POPULATION FROM ERADICATION BY INVASIVE SPECIES, SUCH AS THE GREY SQUIRREL, AND ANY VIRUS/DISEASE THAT THEY MAY CARRY; B) WORKING WITH KEY PARTNER ORGANISATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN A WAY THAT ADVANCES RED SQUIRREL CONSERVATION; C) SUPPORTING SCIENTIFIC/ECOLOGICAL RESEARCH, STUDIES AND INVESTIGATIONS WHICH WILL ASSIST RED SQUIRREL SURVIVAL AS WELL AS HELP TO INFORM WIDER CONSERVATION WORK IN THE FOREST AS THE HABITAT OF THE RED SQUIRREL. B) RAISING AWARENESS OF AND EDUCATING THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF THE RED SQUIRREL AS A SPECIES, THE THREATS IT FACES AND THE NEED FOR CONSERVATION ACTIVITY TO ENSURE ITS SURVIVAL IN WALES.
