The objects of the CIO are to advance education for the public benefit in the history and heritage of the Ancient Town of Rye and its surrounding historic landscape by maintaining a heritage centre and organising exhibitions and events. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with the Charities Act 2011.
