TO PRESERVE AND RESTORE THE BRADLEY CANAL TO GOOD AND NAVIGABLE ORDER FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, BOTH LOCALS AND VISITORS, ABOUT THE REGION’S PROUD INDUSTRIAL HISTORY, CANALS AND WATERWAYS, WILDLIFE AND THE ENVIRONMENT.2. TO CONSERVE AND ENHANCE THE ENVIRONMENT BY LINKING TWO EXISTING WATER HABITATS AND NATURE CORRIDORS BY EXCAVATING AND RESTORING BURIED SECTIONS OF THE BRADLEY CANAL, PROVIDING A NEW WETLAND HABITAT, ALLOWING GREATER MOVEMENT OF SPECIES AND ENCOURAGING BIODIVERSITY, WHICH CAN BE ENJOYED BY LOCAL RESIDENTS AND VISITORS.
