THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE(1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE CITY OF HULL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, AND IN PARTICULAR ABOUT NOTABLE LOCAL HISTORICAL FIGURES WHO HAVE HAD A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE CITY OF HULLÆS AND THE SURROUNDING AREAÆS CULTURAL HERITAGE AND SOCIAL HISTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HULL-BORN JACK HARRISON VC MC, BRITISH ARMY OFFICER IN WORLD WAR ONE AND POSTHUMOUS RECIPIENT OF THE VICTORIA CROSS AND THE MILITARY CROSS;(2) TO PROMOTE THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE CITY OF HULL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, BY THE PRESENTATION OF PERFORMANCES AND EXHIBITIONS, AND IN PARTICULAR ABOUT NOTABLE LOCAL HISTORICAL FIGURES AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE CITY OF HULLÆS AND THE SURROUNDING AREAÆS CULTURAL HERITAGE AND SOCIAL HISTORY PROVIDED THAT THE PROMOTION OF SUCH EVENTS IS UNDERTAKEN SOLELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC;(3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC WITHIN THE CITY OF HULL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE ERECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF STATUTES AND/OR MEMORIALS OF NOTABLE LOCAL HISTORICAL FIGURES AND THE PROVISION OF AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO ITS CULTURAL HERITAGE AND SOCIAL HISTORY; AND(4) TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY CONSISTENT WITH OBJECTS (1), (2) AND (3) ABOVE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE.
