THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:1) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE CHARITABLE NEEDS OF REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS IN THE UK, IN PARTICULAR BY:A) PROVIDING TRAINING AND SUPPORT DESIGNED TO BUILD CAPACITY AMONG ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE FRONTLINE SUPPORT TO REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS AND SEEK TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES;B) WORKING WITH STATUTORY AGENCIES AND KEY PARTNERS, THROUGH TRAINING, ADVOCACY AND CAMPAIGNING WORK, TO UNDERSTAND, EXAMINE AND ADDRESS THE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF THE POVERTY AND INEQUALITY WHICH CREATES HARDSHIP AMONGST REFUGEE AND ASYLUM SEEKING COMMUNITIES.C) ADVANCING PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE ASYLUM SYSTEM, THROUGH CAMPAIGNING, WITH THE AIM OF RAISING AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES FACED BY REFUGEE AND ASYLUM SEEKING COMMUNITIES AND THE NEED TO ADDRESS THEM. 2) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THEIR NEEDS AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY.
