3.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:3.1.1 THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY THE PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSE ACCOMMODATION FOR PERSONS IN FINANCIAL NEED, WHO ARE WHOLLY OR IN PART UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES BY THEIR OWN EXERTIONS DUE TO AGE, ILL HEALTH, DISABILITY OR INFIRMITY, IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER OF PRIORITY:(A) PERSONS WHO HAVE RESIDED IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT FOR NOT LESS THAN TWO YEARS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT;(B) PERSONS RESIDENT ELSEWHERE;3.1.2 SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE; AND3.1.3 THE GENERAL PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
