THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS, IN THE BOROUGH OF BROMLEY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS IN PARTICULAR BY: (1) THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, INFORMATION, PRACTICAL ADVICE, EDUCATION, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORK EXPERIENCE;(2) RAISING AWARENESS OF DOWN SYNDROME AND PROVIDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE SPECIFIC NEEDS AND ABILITIES OF PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME FOR THEIR PARENTS/CARERS AND THE PROFESSIONALS INVOLVED IN THEIR CARE, EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION.
