To promote humane behaviour towards animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage by:- (a) supporting local organisations providing care, protection, medical treatment, security and overall humane treatment to animals by making annual charitable financial donations, and (b) supporting local pet owners who are in financial difficulty by providing financial assistance towards the care and treatment of their animals, in partnership with local veterinary service providers.To advance the education of the public in the subject of literacy in the English language by providing financial support/grants to literacy projects run by specialist organisations.
