3.1 THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:3.1.1 TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHS (STEM SUBJECTS) IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION) BY PROVIDING SUPPORT (I) TO PROMOTE INNOVATIVE TEACHING IN STEM SUBJECTS IN SCHOOLS, FURTHER EDUCATION AND HIGHER EDUCATION; (II) TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS FOR THOSE IN HIGHER EDUCATION STUDYING STEM SUBJECTS; AND (II) TO SUPPORT COURSES OF INSTRUCTION FOR THOSE SEEKING TO RETURN TO WORK IN A STEM FIELD; AND3.1.2 TO ADVANCE SUCH OTHER EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME MAY DETERMINE.
