Charitable objects

3.1 The objects of the CIO are to relieve the needs of children and young people (ages 0 – 25) (“the beneficiaries”) in England affected by one or more of the issues specified in clause 3.2, and their families, through the means specified in clause 3.3.3.2 The children and young people to benefit shall be affected by one or more of the following issues:(a) children and young people currently in the care system;(b) children and young people that were previously in the care system;(c) adopted children;(d) any other category of children or young people which the trustees consider having similar needs to those above.3.3 The objects shall be carried out by the following means: (a) by provision of education, tuition and learning activities;(b) by provision of a range of therapeutic interventions (e.g. speech and language therapy); (c) by raising awareness of the issues facing the beneficiaries;(d) by supporting networking and mutual learning by the parents and carers of the children and young people;(e) by such other means (being charitable in law) as the trustees consider will help to advance the objects.
