THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIEVING POVERTY BY MAKING GRANTS AND AWARDS TO CHARITIES AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS THAT PROVIDE PUBLIC BENEFIT, PRINCIPALLY WITHIN COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OUTLINED IN THE APPENDIX ATTACHED AT THE REAR OF THE GRANT MAKING POLICY (IN PARTICULAR WITHIN STAFFORDSHIRE, SHROPSHIRE, CHESHIRE AND DERBYSHIRE).NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
