To hold upon trust the property of The Redesdale Hall for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Moreton-in-Marsh and surrounding area (the area of benefit) without distinction of political, religious, or other opinions, including the use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008] The CIO shall observe and perform the restrictive covenants affecting the Trust property contained in the Conveyance dated first day January One thousand nine hundred and fifty-one and made between the Right Honourable Gilbert Alan Hamilton Baron Dulverton of the one part and the North Cotswold Rural District Council of the other part a copy of which are set out in the Schedule hereto.
