TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND PERSONAL HISTORIES AND CONTEMPORARY UNDERSTANDINGS OF THE TROUBLES AND IN THE TOPIC OF CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND POST-CONFLICT RECONCILIATION AND LEGACIES, IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF CONFERENCES, LECTURES, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS.THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF THEIR PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ILL-HEALTH OR DISABILITY AS A RESULT OF THE TROUBLES, IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE, ALONGSIDE A SIGNPOSTING SERVICE TO REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH AND RECOVERY SERVICES.IN THIS CLAUSE, ‘THE TROUBLES’ REFERS TO THE CONFLICT THAT OCCURRED IN NORTHERN IRELAND BETWEEN THE LATE 1960S AND LATE 1990S.
