THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:3.1 TO PROMOTE THE MILITARY EFFICIENCY OF THE ROYAL NAVY AND ROYAL MARINES THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, FUNDING, ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER SUPPORT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ORGANISATION OF EVENTS TO ENABLE SERVING AND FORMER SERVING MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL NAVY AND ROYAL MARINES AND THEIR DEPENDANTS TO PARTICIPATE IN WINTER SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING HEALTH, STAMINA, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FITNESS, COURAGE, LEADERSHIP AND TEAM SKILLS; AND 3.2 TO PROMOTE ESPRIT DE CORPS OF SERVING PERSONNEL.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
