TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE SUBJECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND IN MEANS TO TACKLE AND REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:2. (A) PROVIDING GRANT FUNDING TO UNIVERSITIES AND INDEPENDENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTIONS TO CARRY OUT AND PUBLISH RESEARCH INTO TECHNOLOGIES, METHODS, AND THEORIES, WHICH CAN HELP UNDERSTAND AND TACKLE AND REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE; AND2. (B) PROVIDING GRANT FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF OPEN/NON-PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGIES, METHODS, AND THEORIES WHICH CAN HELP TACKLE AND REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE AND THEIR PUBLIC DISSEMINATION.
