THE PREVENTION OF KNIFE CRIME AND THE PROTECTION OF PEOPLE FROM KNIFE CRIME, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1) RAISING AWARENESS AMONG CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY CONCERNING OF KNIFE CRIME AND THE IMPACT ON THOSE AFFECTED BY IT;(2) THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND MENTORSHIP TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO HELP ENABLE THEM TO MAKE POSITIVE CHOICES IN RELATION TO THE DANGERS AND IMPACT OF KNIFE CRIME; AND(3) THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS OF KNIFE CRIME AND THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS.
