3. Purposes3.1. The purposes of the CIO are:3.1.1. the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Faith in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Trustees may from time to time think fit; and3.1.2. such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Faith, including but not limited to: the pastoral care and encouragement of those involved in Christian ministry and the provision of training, support and resources that promote the Christian faith;provided that the advancement of such purposes must be undertaken in a manner that is consistent with any Values Statements as may be adopted and amended by the CIO from time to time.3.2 Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
