(A) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, THE ADVANCEMENT OF AMATEUR SPORT IN THE MOLE VALLEY, REIGATE AND BANSTEAD LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS BY SUPPORTING SPORTS CLUBS, SPORTING ORGANISATIONS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN PROVIDING FUNDING FOR EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND SUPPORT THAT WILL ENABLE AND ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF AMATEUR SPORT FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES;(B) TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY IN THE MOLE VALLEY, REIGATE AND BANSTEAD LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS BY PROVIDING GRANTS OR ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS/INSTITUTIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO ENABLE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTHY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD;(C) TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY, OF PEOPLE LIVING IN THE MOLE VALLEY, REIGATE AND BANSTEAD LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES, WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS;(D) TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF DISABILITY, SICKNESS AND POOR HEALTH AMONGST PEOPLE LIVING IN THE MOLE VALLEY, REIGATE AND BANSTEAD LOCAL AUTHORITY AREAS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY FOR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.
