THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PRESERVE, MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP DEAN ROAD AND MANOR ROAD CEMETERY FOR ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: 1. TO PROMOTE THE USE OF THE CEMETERY AS A PUBLIC BURIAL GROUND; 2. TO SECURE THE REPAIR RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION OF THE CEMETERY, ITS GROUNDS, MONUMENTS AND OTHER ARTEFACTS AND THEIR SETTING AS A PLACE OF HISTORIC AND OTHER INTEREST AND BEAUTY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; AND 3. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC OF THE LOCAL SIGNIFICANCE AND HISTORY OF THE CEMETERY AND THE BIODIVERSITY ASPECTS WITHIN IT.
