THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE ALL BRITISH AND IRISH NATIVE EQUINE SPECIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THEIR WELFARE, GENETIC DIVERSITY, TRADITION AND HERITAGE, TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE VARIOUS PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS IN WHICH THEY LIVE AND TO PROVIDE AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE TO THE PUBLIC ENCOMPASSING ALL OUR NATIVE EQUINE BREEDS.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
