TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY:(A) DEVELOPING THE CAPACITY OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE TO MEET THE UNMET NEEDS OF DISADVANTAGED YOUNG PEOPLE* (UNDER 25) BY EXTENDING THEIR SERVICES INTO NEW AREAS OF ACTIVITY WHICH BENEFIT THE PUBLIC(B) ASSISTING IN SUCH WAYS TO EXTEND THE PARTICIPATION OF COMMUNITY GROUPS IN THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR WHO ARE UNDERREPRESENTED(C) IMPROVING THE SERVICES OF VOLUNTARY** ORGANISATIONS IN TERMS OF EFFICIENCY, EFFECTIVENESS AND QUALITY IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS THE UNMET NEEDS OF DISADVANTAGED YOUNG PEOPLE IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE*BY ‘YOUNG PEOPLE’ WE REFER TO CHILDREN AGE 0-19, OR 25 IF THEY HAVE SPECIAL AND ADDITIONAL NEEDS / ARE CARE LEAVERS.**THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR’ MEANS CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS:CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALESVOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION.
