THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS:TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE CONSERVATION OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT IN AND AROUND THE MILL MEADOWS LOCAL NATURE RESERVE (β€˜THE SITE’) BY: A) CONSERVING THE FLORA, FAUNA AND BIODIVERSITY OF THE SITE; B) ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE FLORA, FAUNA, BIODIVERSITY, ECOLOGY, GEOGRAPHY AND HISTORY OF THE SITE; C) PROMOTING OR CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTO THE FLORA, FAUNA AND BIODIVERSITY OF THE SITE, THE USEFUL RESULTS OF WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED; D) PARTNERING WITH BASILDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, AS AN INDEPENDENT CONSULTATIVE BODY, IN THE MANAGEMENT AND CONSERVATION OF THE SITE; AND E) ENCOURAGING PUBLIC INTEREST AND PARTICIPATION IN VOLUNTARY WORK TO ASSIST IN THE MANAGEMENT AND CONSERVATION OF THE SITE.
