TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND PROMOTE THE ARTS, CULTURE, AND HERITAGE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH THE PERFORMANCE OF EARLY ENGLISH MUSIC (PARTICULARLY CHORAL MUSIC) USING HISTORICALLY INFORMED PRACTICES, INCLUDING RECONSTRUCTED PRONUNCIATION, AND BY DISSEMINATING CURRENT RESEARCH IN MUSICOLOGY, LINGUISTICS, AND HISTORICAL PERFORMANCE. THE CHARITY PROVIDES PUBLIC CONCERTS, LECTURES, SEMINARS, AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS TO INCREASE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF EARLY MUSIC AND ITS CULTURAL CONTEXTS. THE CIO WILL BE WORKING PRIMARILY IN THE YORKSHIRE REGION.
