THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS: TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- - PROMOTING PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES TO PREVENT INFANT MORTALITY IN THE UK AND LIBERIA; - GRANT FUNDING FOR A HOSPITAL TO DEVELOP SPECIALISED INFANT HEALTHCARE AND INFANT HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN LIBERIA BY PROVIDING INCUBATORS TO KEEP BABIES ALIVE THROUGH THE INITIAL STAGES AFTER THEIR BIRTH, INFANT HEALTH EDUCATION, NEWBORN BABY CARE AND PRE-MATURE SUPPORT FOR BABIES;- SUPPORTING RESEARCH TO UNDERSTAND HEALTH ISSUES FACING INFANTS IN THE UK AND LIBERIA AND TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PRACTICE;- WORKING WITH SIMILAR ORGANISATIONS TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL TO PROVIDE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, ESPECIALLY NEW AND EXPECTING MOTHERS ON HOW TO PREVENT TREATABLE ILLNESSES THAT COULD HARM THEIR CHILDREN;- PROMOTING EDUCATION OF CITIZENS IN THE UK AND LIBERIA TO ENHANCE INFANT HEALTH OUTCOMES; AND- ADVOCATING FOR GREATER GOVERNMENT FUNDING TO INFANT HEALTH PROJECTS IN UK AND LIBERIA. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
