TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN SRI LANKA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THOSE ATTENDING JAFFNA HINDU COLLEGE AND THOSE CHILDREN LIVING IN IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES PRIMARILY THROUGH:A) PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS TO CHILDREN TO COVER SCHOOL FEES, EXTRA LESSONS, AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES WHO COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THEM;B) PROVIDING ESSENTIAL LEARNING RESOURCES, SUCH AS LIBRARY BOOKS, DIGITAL TOOLS (INCLUDING TABLETS, COMPUTERS, AND INTERACTIVE TOUCH SCREENS), AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL AIDS TO ENHANCE STUDENTS LEARNING EXPERIENCES; C) PROVIDING FUNDING FOR ADDITIONAL TEACHERS AND SUPPLEMENTARY CLASSES IN KEY SUBJECTS; AND D) PROMOTING PHYSICAL EDUCATION BY PROVIDING SPORTS, PLAY AND LEISURE EQUIPMENT TO EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES; E) SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY DETERMINE.
