TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN, IN PARTICULAR BY:(A) THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE, GENDER AND DISABILITY; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY;(C) PROMOTING ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS; (D) CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY; AND3. THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY IN BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE, BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS INNEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY.
