THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN POOLE, BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH, NEW MILTON, LYMINGTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, ARE:(1) TO ADVANCE IN LIFE, RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AGED UP TO 30 THROUGH: (A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE;(B) THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSE THE CHARITY WILL MAKE GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS, AND TO CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS WHOSE ACTIVITIES (WHETHER OFFERED THROUGH PROJECTS, SCHEMES, PROGRAMMES, OR EXPERIENCES) ARE CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING THE SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE, (2) THE PROMOTION OF THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND THE EFFECTIVE USE OF CHARITABLE RESOURCES BY PROVIDING FREE SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS THAT ARE ESTABLISHED TO DEVELOP AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE, WITH A FOCUS ON ADMINISTRATION AND FUNDRAISING, DESIGNED TO HELP THEM INCREASE IN GROWTH, SCALE AND CAPACITY FOR BENEFICIAL IMPACT.FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE:‘CHARITIES’ ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES;‘VOLUNTARY AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS’ ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
