THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC:(1) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) AMONG VICTIMS OF FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION, THROUGHOUT THE WORLD BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS:A. RELIEVING NEED AMONG THE VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE THROUGH WORKSHOPS, PEER SUPPORT, SIGNPOSTING AND OTHER SUCH SUPPORT AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE;B. PROVIDING TECHNICAL ADVICE TO GOVERNMENT AND OTHERS ON HUMAN RIGHTS MATTERS IN RELATION TO FGM AND CONNECTED GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE;C. RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES; ANDD. PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS;(2) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONG WOMEN GENERALLY BY PROVIDING HYGIENE AND PERIOD PRODUCTS AND BY PROVIDING FOOD VOUCHERS.
