THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL PURSUITS WITHIN THE LOCAL AREA. IN FURTHERANCE OF THE SAID OBJECTS BUT NOT FURTHER OR OTHERWISE THE CIO THROUGH ITS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE SHALL HAVE THE FOLLOWING POWERS:- (A)TO ORGANISE SHOWS, EXHIBITIONS AND MEETINGS. (B)TO ARRANGE VISITS TO PLACES OF HORTICULTURAL AND AGRICULTURAL INTEREST. (C) TO CO-OPERATE AND WORK WITH INCLUDING THE SHARING OF EXPENSES, ANYBODY OR ORGANISATION ITSELF BEING A CHARITY OR PUBLIC AUTHORITY OR HAVING THE SUPPORT OF A PUBLIC AUTHORITY. (D)TO RAISE FUNDS AND TO INVITE AND RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ANY PERSONS WHATSOEVER BY WAY OF SUBSCRIPTIONS OR OTHERWISE PROVIDED THAT THE CIO SHALL NOT UNDERTAKE PERMANENT TRADING ACTIVITIES IN RAISING FUNDS FOR ITS SUBJECTS. (E) TO DO ALL SUCH OTHER LAWFUL THINGS AS SHALL FURTHER THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO.
