TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS RELATING TO MIGRATION, THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF MIGRANTS, AND THE SOCIETAL IMPACTS OF IMMIGRATION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, THROUGH THE COLLECTION, PRESERVATION, AND PUBLIC SHARING OF MIGRANT STORIES AND PERSPECTIVES.TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN THE UK WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, IMMIGRATION AND REFUGEE STATUS, AND TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY AND TO PARTICIPATE IN CIVIC AND DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES, IN PARTICULAR BY INCREASING UNDERSTANDING OF PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS AND HOW TO TAKE PART IN THEM; BY ADDRESSING BARRIERS TO INCLUSION; AND BY PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE PLATFORMS AND TOOLS THAT ENABLE MIGRANTS TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AND PERSPECTIVES AS PART OF PUBLIC DISCOURSE.FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; IMMIGRATION AND REFUGEE STATUS.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
