TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY, UNIVERSITY RESEARCHERS AND ACADEMICS IN THE SUBJECT OF THE RARE EARTH AND ACTINIDE ELEMENTS (THE F-ELEMENTS) IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:• FOSTERING AND ENCOURAGING THE GROWTH AND APPLICATION OF THE CHEMICAL SCIENCES OF THE RARE EARTH AND ACTINIDE ELEMENTS (THE F-ELEMENTS) BY THE DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE FROM ACADEMIC RESEARCH THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, AWARDING OF SMALL GRANTS AND/OR PRIZES, PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS WORKSHOPS AND SUMMER SCHOOLS, AND MAINTAINING CLOSE CONTACTS WITH SIMILAR SOCIETIES AND ORGANISATIONS IN EUROPE AND INTERNATIONALLY;• COORDINATING THE ORGANISATION OF THE TRIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON F-ELEMENTS (ICFE), IN COORDINATION WITH OTHER SIMILAR CONFERENCES, TO DISSEMINATE THE LATEST ACADEMIC RESEARCH;• SERVING THE PUBLIC INTEREST BY ACTING IN AN ADVISORY, CONSULTATIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY IN MATTERS RELATING TO THIS AREA OF CHEMICAL SCIENCE.
