THE OBJECT[S] OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY ON THE GROUNDS THAT THEY ARE NEWLY ARRIVED MIGRANTS TO THE UK AND TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE IN ORDER TO ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ADVICE, INCLUDING ADVICE ON HOUSING, WELFARE BENEFITS, EDUCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT. B) INCREASING, OR COORDINATING, OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BENEFICIARIES TO ENGAGE WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS, TO ENABLE THOSE PROVIDERS TO ADAPT SERVICES TO BETTER MEET THE NEEDS OF THAT COMMUNITY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; BEREAVEMENT OR ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL). NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
